The Point and PCCO Furniture and Appliance Ministry
In 2014, PCCO transitioned its Furniture Ministry to a joint operation with The Point. Furniture is now stored in a building generously provided by The Point. Besides physically relocating the ministry to 710 Main St Parkesburg (the building next to the Octorara Area Food Cupboard), Furniture Ministry procedures have been updated to schedule furniture donations and display available furniture via the PCCO website.
These new procedures simplify the processes for donating and
requesting furniture. We invite you to

Maris Grove Blanket Circle – Thank You
PCCO wishes to thank the members of the Maris Grove Blanket Circle for their creation of 54 hand-made blankets and afghans for the PCCO Christmas Program.
The Blanket Circle is a member of the national Project Linus organization, named after the blanket-carrying friend of Charlie Brown. Since its founding in 2008, the 150 Maris Grove Blanket Circle volunteer “blanketeers” have produced more than 6,000 afghans, trimmed fleece blankets and cotton quilts as gifts for local children in hospitals, shelters, social service agencies or anywhere that a youngster might be in need of a hug.

Thanksgiving Turkey Dinners Distribution
Thank you to all of the churches, turkey cookers, and volunteers. We made 210 meals and had 150 volunteers show up at the Schneider Parish Center on Thanksgiving morning. This number of 150 does not include those who purchased, cooked and deboned the turkeys. This show of community is completely overwhelming to us. We are truly blessed to coordinate this annual time of fellowship and giving.
A special thank you to PCCO members Diane and Pat for coordinating this event for so many years. As usual, all your hard work before the event ensured its success on Thanksgiving Day. Thank you!
